Our Story
Like any good Portland building, The Exchange has lived a few lives. Over the years it’s been a Sears distribution center, an ice cream factory, and the place generations of Portlanders clocked in every morning.
Today, that story continues. Thoughtfully reimagined for a new generation of gatherings, soaring concrete ceilings, expansive industrial windows, and sweeping city views create a setting that’s unmistakably Portland.
The Exchange is cared for by the team at Cast & Co., whose passion for bringing people together is reflected in every celebration.
From the first walkthrough to the final farewell, they’re dedicated to creating events that feel effortless, personal, and memorable.
Our Spaces
Two distinctive spaces. Endless possibilities. From grand celebrations in the Main Hall to sunset cocktail hours on the rooftop, The Exchange offers flexible spaces that can be tailored to gatherings both large and small.
Main Hall
6,200 square feet of open, flexible event space with soaring ceilings, historic architecture, and room to make it your own. Up to 250 seated/350 standing.
Rooftop
An open-air rooftop with sweeping city views—ideal for ceremonies, cocktail hours, dinners, and celebrations under the Portland sky. Cheers!
